As a continuation of the initiatives undertaken by the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) in human capital development and educational support the opening ceremony of the "Zəfərdən Gələcəyə" (From Victory to the Future) mentorship programme was held. The programme is intended for students of Karabakh University on the occasion of the 5th Anniversary of the Glorious Victory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Under the programme, 10 participants were competitively selected from among second and third-year students of Faculty of Economics at Karabakh University. The selected students will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills in the fields of investment and finance through mentorship support provided by SOFAZ specialists.
At the opening ceremony held at Karabakh University, Mr. Bahruz Bahramov, Deputy CEO of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and Mr. Shahin Bayramov, Rector of Karabakh University delivered speeches.
Mr.Bahruz Bahramov, Deputy CEO of SOFAZ, emphasized the significance of the programme: “Investing in knowledge and human capital during the reconstruction and rehabilitation phase in Karabakh is of particular importance, as it generates long-term value. This approach holds a key place among the Fund’s strategic priorities.”
Mr. Shahin Bayramov, Rector of Karabakh University, in his remarks, noted that the university is establishing itself as a regional centre of knowledge and development, thereby making a significant contribution to unlocking students’ and shaping their future career trajectories. During the event, presentations were delivered covering the objectives of the programme, its implementation mechanism, upcoming phases, and the opportunities available for participants to benefit effectively from the programme.
In addition, representatives of SOFAZ visited the newly commissioned building of the Faculty of Economics at Karabakh University.
It should be noted that the “From Victory to the Future” mentorship programme aims to increase youth interest in the fields of economics and finance, support their professional development, and strengthen the link between theoretical knowledge and practical experience. The programme is among the initiatives that contribute to the development of human capital and sustainable economic growth in the country through the sharing of the Fund’s knowledge and expertise.
